Dell Virtual Integrated System Software
Virtual Integrated System (VIS) is the first Dell application to aggregate existing, third-party functionality crafted and displayed as a Clarity Mk.2 user experience. VIS allows Dell to access three industry leading applications and present their modified functionality and data as a Dell branded, EDG designed, Mk.2 user experience. This cohesive experience allows the user to setup, deploy, manage and monitor virtual machines from one interface using streamlined work flows and relevant aggregated data.
Clarity Mk.2 is an user experience ecosystem, based on the concept of “Read, Edit, Confirm”, which will span the entire Dell enterprise software portfolio. VIS build challenges included designing complex step-by-step wizard work flows, virtual machine visualization and an “e-commerce” client site targeted at novice, non-IT professional, users.
As creative director I drove strategic project vision while leading, and supporting, interaction and visual design teams in granular tactical efforts. The creative phase lasted six months with iterations accounting for an additional five.
